In 1891 disciples of Christ one time slaves and decedents of slaves founded Mitchell Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

With a faith in a God that can do all things the disciples of the Mitchell Chapel, AME Church have met the challenges and kept the faith.

Today as we mark our 126th church anniversary the disciples of Mitchell Chapel are on the move.Inspired by the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) we are dedicated to making disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
