A Monday Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father we come to you on this Monday, some rested others exhausted from the weekend’s activates.

Whatever our condition we all come to you on our knees with a heart of praise as we worship your holy name.

Ephesians 6:10-18  prompts us that today and every day we should stand firm and put on the whole armor of God.

Dear Heavenly Father as we pray to you today we ask that you will guide us as we

  • Buckle the belt of truth around our waist
  • Put in place the breastplate of righteousness
  • Fit our feet with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace
  • Take up the shield of faith that will extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one
  • Crown our heads with the helmet of salvation
  • And place in our hands the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God

In addition to these mighty items we ask that you help keep us alert.  As we pledge during this Monday to pray to you with all kinds of prayers and requests for your people.

Now as we depart our prayer closet this Monday to go out and do your will.  We ask all of these things in your son’s holy name let every mouth and heart say: Amen, Amen, and Amen.
